• Meal Data: Food photos and meal entries you log in the App

Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, we may automatically collect:

• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and version
• Usage Data: App features used and interaction data (stored locally)

Photos and Camera Access

The App requires access to your camera or photo library to capture or upload images of your meals for AI-powered calorie estimation. These photos are:

• Sent to our AI service provider for analysis
• Used solely to estimate calorie content
• Stored in association with your meal entries

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• Account Management: To create and maintain your user account
• Core Functionality: To provide calorie tracking and AI-powered meal analysis

Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to help us operate the App:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): We use Claude AI to analyze food photos and estimate calorie content. Photos are processed securely and in accordance with Anthropic's privacy practices.
• Supabase: We use Supabase to securely store your account information, profile data, and meal entries. Supabase acts as our database and authentication provider.
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store: Payment processing for in-app purchases or subscriptions is handled by Apple and Google respectively. We do not have access to your payment card information.

These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it:

• Passwords are encrypted using industry-standard encryption
• Data transmission is secured using SSL/TLS encryption
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We use Supabase's secure infrastructure for data storage

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where data protection laws may differ. If you are located outside the United States and choose to use the App, please note that we transfer your data to the United States and process it there.
